In November 2016 the ‘Two Tick Symbol’ was replaced by the Disability Confident Scheme. The scheme aims to give employers the skills and confidence needed to recruit and retain staff who have a disability, or a long term health condition. One of the ‘Core Actions’ needed to be evidenced is to ‘ Ensure that your employees have appropriate disability equality awareness’ something which my talks offer.
My 45 minute PowerPoint presentation gives a general introduction to myself and then moves on to give tips, from a personal perceptive. The tips I give begin with how to advertise your job through to the ongoing management of the disabled employee.
